Candlelit Chapters was created from the constant need to find the next best thing, let that be the perfect book to encapsulate your current mood or a movie that makes you feel the same feelings you had when watching something else! I know the feeling of finishing a TV show, a book or a movie and instantly feeling like you've never going to find something just as good as it was! I took it upon me to actually find your next favorite thing! Feel free to look around or search quickly for your favorite titles to see some of my recommendations for you!
About the Author
My name is Anita and I live for stories. I always turned to stories to make me feel something, experience something, or just help me understand things better. I consumed books, movies, and television shows religiously ever since I can remember. I guess mostly because I’m an only child and was raised in a village where the population just exceeds 700 people. This blog was born by the need to share all those great worlds and characters I got to experience thanks to amazing writers and storytellers!
I aim to share all my best recommendations and create lists for you to turn to whenever you’re in a certain type of mood, or just looking for something similar to another thing! Sometimes I might throw in a review, but I promise to only do that when I feel VERY STRONGLY about something, which happens quite often, so maybe no promises…
If I would want you to get to know me through my favorites I’d say watch Gilmore Girls, since that’s my absolute comfort show, and read Still Life by Sarah Winman, as that book just captured the essence of what I think Life is actually all about. Some of my other favorites would be Call Me by Your Name (the movie), One Day (the Netflix show), everything by Sarah J. Mass, and Taylor Swift! So I like all sorts of things, but I think I love raw, real-life stories the best. I like to read about people who feel real and I also appreciate a good cry.
In my day-to-day life, I’m a freelance content creator and marketing specialist, creating ad campaigns for brands online! I live in Hungary, currently in the same rural village where I grew up, just with my boyfriend this time! I love to travel and experience new cultures, and visit restaurants, I love skincare and beauty and everything fashion!
